Hello, you have reached an English page on our site akkv.nl : a Dutch Interdisciplinary Arts Platform AKKV: 'Algemeen Kristelijk KunstenaarsVerbond'. We are a relatively small group of professional artists operating in all fields and disciplines of the arts. AKKV was founded in 1920. Although our alliance is historically rooted in Christian tradition, our orientations are universal. To be more specific: we are in the process of network renewal in the Netherlands as part of the European art world. Our awareness of standing in the Christian European art tradition is constantly challenging our personal artistic work and art performance. To us encountering the art world in general provokes a fresh dialogue on art, spirituality and society. To enhance the process of development AKKV will initiate it's own AKKV | DagMuseum [ AKKV | OneDay Museum ]. AKKV is preparing a particular AKKV exhibition-concept of 1 day and is about to open up to the dynamic aspects of live art exhibition and dialogue. The long history of the AKKV and a sensitive comprehension of todays art developments simply urges AKKV to start functioning as its own curator. AKKV | DagMuseum tries to connect the AKKV art program to the location and the visitor of that day. These 'AKKV exhibition snapshots' will be documented all the way online and in AKKV print media Day | Catalogues. The AKKV DagMuseum | Bureau is open.
